The Cutest Bib EVER!! and a new Template! and IDOL Worship!!

Ok, first I have to tell you about these adorable bibs, although they are really more like aprons. My cousin Britney makes them and I love the one I have!! My little guy is so messy and it's wonderful to have a bib that actually covers him and that he can't just pull off. Whenever he wears it, everyone Oohs and Aahs over it.

*Here is her ad and the latest fabric swatches. If you don't order at least one, you are totally missing out.

Also, I have put together a new template for you, enjoy:

As far as Idol Predictions go, I am predicting the bottom 2 to be:
Brooke
Jason or David A.
I am hoping that Jason goes home, but I am petrified that it will be Brooke!!

Let's Be Random Some More: Book Reviews

I have been feeling pretty crumby lately and have been hitting the books while I lounge around. Here is what I have been perusing. (One thing you probably don't know about me... I read mostly adolescent lit. I took an independent study class on it a few years back and got hooked. I haven't gotten sick of it yet. If you have any recommendations for me, I would love to hear them!)

Everything on a Waffle: Loved it!! It takes place in the Pacific Northwest, a locale near and dear to my heart. The characters are charming, the story interesting. It's believable enough to be fun and also ridiculous enough to be fun. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

It's Like This, Cat: Also really good. It reminds me of Catcher in the Rye, although I am not EXACTLY sure why. Anyway, it's like Catcher in the Rye, for 11 or 12 year olds. A great story, told well.

The Automatic Millionaire:This book I read at the request of my mother. She has been singing the praises of David Bach's books for a month now and apparently it has changed her life. I am not extremely savvy with money, but luckily I married someone who is. This book seems to be a common sense way to get rich, by automating your savings other strategies. What I really loved was that his last chapter emphasizes tithe-paying, which I am totally a believer in. It's a great way to bless your life and others. I have also checked out his Smart Women Finish Rich but haven't gotten to it yet.

Prophecy Rock: This is a mystery and only an "ok" one. What I loved were the interesting facts and stories about the Hopi people. The characters weren't extremely developed and the surprise ending didn't quite make sense.

Let's Be Random: A Product Review for Ped Egg

My sweet hubby bought me a "Ped Egg" last weekend and gave me a wonderful pedicure. It is the only thing that has come close to sloughing off all the yucky callouses and peely parts on my feet like a professional pedicure. And it was so easy. And pretty fun.(And no, I am not getting any money from these people, I just saw their info-mercial and was curious).

We got it at Walgreens and as a person with chronically gross feet, I am loving my new soft peds. One warning: I think I may have to not slough as much next time, because when I went to the gym this week I really felt like I was about to get a blister. Those callouses must have been actually doing something. Huh? Who would have thunk?

I give this product an A.

Freebie Template #6

Ok, I have a question for everyone. I totally want to try and call in to American Idol next Wednesday when you get to ask the judges or a contestant a question. I want to either ask David A. or Brooke a question, because they are my absolute Fav-Os. BUT, I want to know what you think I should ask!!

What should I ask Brooke or David A. on American Idol if I get the chance??!!

Who's Going Home Tonight?

Quick, before the show...

Bottom three predictions are Syesha, Ramiele and Chikezie with Chikezie going home.

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the program last night and think they all performed well. I especially loved that Jason C. and Brooke performed Sting songs!!

Freebie Template # 5 (for everyone, but especially for David Archuleta and Brooke White fans!)

So, I was part right and part wrong on my Idol predictions last week. I wasn't surprised that Amanda went home, only surprised that Kristy didn't. I am still totally loving David Archuleta and Brooke White, and enjoying all of the others. Looking forward to tonight's show. Does anyone know what the theme is? I hope it's Beatles again. Just kidding! HA!

I sat down this morning and worked on this little project for you (and for me, LOL) and here it is to share!Enjoy!

Probably Syesha.

Who should go home?
Kristy Lee or David Hernandez

Who am I totally loving?
Brooke, David Cook, Carly, Chikezie and Ramiele (She was SOOO not boring, Simon!)

Who do I still love even though he messed up the words royally?

So, Am I Good or What?

3 out of 4 is pretty good. Of course, I was sad to see Danny Noriega go. Did you hear that Rosie Odonell offered him a free cruise? Really! Anyway, he was so fun to watch, and I could tell that Simon thought he was a hoot, even if he didn't like the song/singing.

I am excited for Idol this week (like every week) and would love to see Brooke and David Archuleta in the finals!!

I haven't been doing much scrapping lately, but will get to it soon. I had the most FABULOUS trip to Moab and Colorado last weekend and need to get scrappin'.

*On a sidenote, I just checked my 4shared and noticed that Super Duper Grandparent Wordart has passed 1000 downloads. AWESOME!

My American Idol Predictions

I loved the shows this week. Not only am I an eighties music fanatic, but it's getting down to where there are only great singers AND great perfomers left and it's thrilling.

That said, I think that Luke Menard (too boring) and David Hernandez (good, but not as good as the others) will go home for the boys. For the girls, Kady Malloy (also boring) and Asiah Epperson (good, but not as good as the others) will go home this week.

We'll see how good my predictions are this week, I have been half right both week so far.

*I am still totally rooting for our hometown hero, David Archuleta, to go all of the way. Also, totally loving most of the girls, especially Brooke White. Danny Noriega has totally grown on me, and I hope we get to see him for at least another week or two.

Serenity Now Wordart and Idol Talk

Are you having a "serenity now" day? Well, this is for you!

And in other news, are you watching American Idol this season? Of course you are, who isn't?!!

Just a few thoughts, I have been hearing lots of talk about how some of the contestants are already "in the business" ie. Carly had a record deal, the guy who opened for Britney Spears, and the kid who was on Jenny Jones performing (I love him, by the way - Go Utah!). My thoughts on this: If they were really "in the business" they wouldn't need a reality show to make them big. We would have heard of them before now, and they would be too busy with their successful careers to take months out of their life to be on a show that does not guarantee major success, even for the winners.

Secondly, about Josiah Leming, he was not robbed. I have read all over the internet about how awesome he is. This is a television show and even though they call this a "singing competition" it is so much more than that, specifically, it is a television show. They look at singing, looks, personality, stage presence, originality and this season, obviously, personal stories of struggle and triumph. They worked the whole homeless Josiah thing and then when they were done with it, they let him go. Fine. He was good, but there were LOTS of good singers, he was interesting, but they let other interesting singers go. He was a major crybaby and had a faux british accent, ok, so that is where he is an ORIGINAL - Good riddance.

That's my first blog rant - HA! ok, now to the freebie:

Textured Papers Freebie

(Update) Question/Quandary: I just checked 4shared and I have 6 sweet comments and only 2 downloads. That sounds funny to me! Are you having trouble with it? If so, let me know so I can monkey with it.
This paper pack has a snowy red rock, a peeling stucko, a brick, an asphalt, and three different stuckos. My favorite is the asphalt. :) I think that it would be fun to try the asphalt recolored in a layout, that is what I am going to do today!

Annie

Many Thanks!

I want to shout a huge THANK YOU to my friend Kristine, who introduced me to digital scrapbooking early last year.

Now, a year later, I have a box of dusty paper scrapping stuff getting wrinkly in the back of my closet, an external harddrive and a huge scrapbook of the CUTEST PAGES EVER!!!
